What is Lisa's approach?
Lisa takes a person-centred, strengths-based approach to supporting people in identifying and resolving psychological issues. She works collaboratively with each individual to understand what is getting in the way and what might help.
What to expect in my first session
In your first session Lisa will work with you to identify the problems you would like to work on and help you set some goals for your therapy. Lisa will make a professional assessment of your difficulties (and strengths) and her treatment plan and approach will be tailored to your personal situation and needs.
Sessions can be scheduled weekly, fortnightly, monthly, or at a frequency that best suits you.
How many sessions will I need?
The number of sessions you need will be discussed with you. This varies, depending on your goals and concerns. Some people attend for short-term, goal-focused work (6–10 sessions), while others prefer longer-term support
Are my sessions confidential?
Psychological therapy is confidential. Your privacy is protected by Australian privacy legislation and professional ethical standards.
Information is only shared with your consent, other than in rare circumstances where there is a serious risk of harm or where required by law. Lisa will provide you with information about confidentiality.
Where are appointments held?
Lisa is based in Subiaco, Perth, and provides face-to-face sessions.
How long is each session?
Sessions are 50 minutes in duration.
How do I make an appointment?

Before your first session, Lisa will provide information about fees, payment, confidentiality, and privacy.
Does Lisa accept Medicare rebates?
You may be eligible for a Medicare rebate with a valid Mental Health Treatment Plan from your GP. Please contact Lisa directly to discuss your options.

How do I pay for my session?
Fees are payable at the end of each session by cash, cheque, or Direct Deposit (no EFTPOS or credit card)
Do I need a referral to book an appointment?
You do not need a referral to book an appointment with Lisa.
However, if you would like to access a Medicare rebate under a Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHTP), you will need a referral from your GP.
A MHTP allows you to claim Medicare rebates for psychological treatment. Currently rebates are provided for up to 10 sessions per calendar year (subject to Medicare guidelines).
Without a MHTP you may be able to claim a rebate from your Private Health fund.
Lisa’s practice is focused on focused on providing therapeutic support and psychological treatment and she does not provide medico-legal, court, compensation, or forensic reports.
If you require an assessment or report for legal, court, insurance, or compensation purposes, it is recommended that you contact a psychologist who specialises in medico-legal work.
