Lisa’s Philosophy

Lisa's philosophy is to provide person-centred and flexible psychological therapy. She aims to take into account your unique experiences, vulnerabilities, and strengths — working with you to identify your goals and use the interventions that best meet your needs.

Therapy can be practical, solution-focused, and time-limited if you want to work on specific issues, or longer-term if you wish for more exploratory therapy.

Lisa draws on Cognitive-Behavioural, Dialectical, Solution-focused, Interpersonal, Narrative, and attachment-focused therapies.

Areas of Expertise

Lisa has extensive experience in supporting adults of all ages, with:

  • Mood disturbances, such as anxiety and depression;

  • Work-related challenges;

  • Relationship and parenting difficulties;

  • Adjustment to life transitions;

  • Traumatic experiences;

  • Coping with illness and injury;

  • Grief and loss.

An Important Note

Lisa believes psychological therapy is a rare opportunity for both client and therapist to detach from the online world.

For this reason, she excludes AI from the therapy process and does not use AI tools in her clinical work — including:

  • Any tasks related to session notes (recording, transcription, dictation, drafting)

  • Case formulation and diagnosis

  • GP reports and correspondence

Lisa uses appropriate platforms for Telehealth, practice management, and some assessments. All platforms and procedures are compliant with health practitioner security and privacy standards.
